Who makes an good composite tactical/target stock for Savage long actions with flat rear receiver and 5.00" bolt spacing?

flat rear = staggerfeed, so you're pretty much left with Choate, BC Duramaxx, or a "custom" like Stockade/McMillan/Manners.

I have a Duramaxx, and its not a bad stock. I do wish they made the A2 Medalist for a LA, though...

Any long action stock will fit. They all have the same 5" action screw spacing.

Boyds mkes stock that will fir an they are pretty decent, walnmut or laminate and cost 1/3 of what the others are getting. Check out thier JRS classic or the new Prairie Hunter. Drop in with little fitting. Call and ask about checkering for an extra $50. These are not tactical, benchrest or varmint stocks. They also have a thumbhole stock that fits.
