Thanks for all your good feedback on the 110 BA in 338 Lapua Mag. Many of you expressed an interest in a lighter-weight, less-expensive version. Shhhh ... just between us kids, we are working on another 338 LM on an HS Precision fiberglass stock w/ 26" heavy fluted bbl, muzzle brake and scope rail. MSRP should be in the neighborhood of $1,500. Should be available May/june.

Has HS Precision started to inlet for a long action Savage?

I have never seen one, I have wanted an HS Precision long action Savage stock with DBM for a long time ...

Lighter? It's a 338 Lapua. Lighter doesn't seem like a good idea, it sounds painful.

Sweet!!! I may just have to get one. I had asked them a year ago for just the same thing. I hope it gets the vertical style grip stock and not the varmint one. It should do well. With anything over 11 lb with a brake the lapua should be fine. They will sale a bunch of them.

Too bad they are still keeping it 26". Really needs to be 28-30 if you want to get the most out of 338lp. Ands the 1:9 twist is really not necessary. 1:10 would be ideal for a wider range of bullet weights. Just my .02

I actually handled the prototype at the SHOT show. It was in an accustock with a AI magazine. It had a muzzlebrake that looked big on noise and small on recoil reduction. The rifle weighs 9 lbs. I would not want to shoot it. This sample rifle came at the last minute to the show, as it did not have any rollstamp or proof marks. Evidentally no one at the factory wanted to shoot it ,either.

Is it the same action as the 110 BA with a new stock and different brake?
