4x savage scope

hey guys a buddy just bought a model 340 c that has a savage 4x on it. standard reticle. it says it was made in Japan. is this a good scope as a collectors item?? also, it's missing the clip .222 rem if anyone knows where to get one?? thanks

He might try Numrich gun parts or a gun show for the clip. I have the same scope camp with my 340 in 222 i put on a 4-10 and i kept the 4x savage.
