Anybody here own a 270 win with a 20" barrel ??

Just curious as I would like to chop mine 2" to make it a bit handier
in a truck.

Can still get 3600 FPS with a 95 gr TTSX with it a 20" barrel.

Hey tammons I don't know what powder you are using, but I have had great success with that bullet and also 90gr sierra hp, with these loads reaching almost 3700 plus in a 22 inch barrel so minus 100 fps approx 2 inch shorter you should be close.

Use the fastest powder that works for you. The muzzle blast and FLASH from a 270 with a 20 barrel will be significant.

I did not get brass flow until I hit 63 gr of RL17.
62 was fine and I did not even test 62.5 but it might be too hot for warmer weather.
3550-3575 would still be enough for total pig devistation with that bullet.

My last few that I loaded were 61.5 at 3.3"

I have not chronoed my rifle yet.

Want to see muzzle flash shoot some full tilt 460 magnum loads in a 4" barreled gun or a 21" barreled 458 WM.
Had both. Love the fire flash out of that 460.
