The Stevens line is selling for $350+ in Central Florida. At $240 each, load up... come to the gunshows in central Florida and pay for your family vacation to Disney with the profits.

Acadamy in Lubbock, Tx. is selling the Stevens 200 for 289.99 (in 270 & 7/08)....and said that all of the Acadamy's prices are the same.???? Can't prove it, but it makes sense, with a company that big to keep all stores the same...rsbhunter

They dont have the competition in Lubbock like they do in DFW, SA, Austin and Houston.

Would you please ask Academy to quickly build a store in Central PA so that I can get in on this $179 bargain? In the meantime, it looks as if my $240.00 price, while not as good as YOUR :P prices still appears to be a good deal

Congratulations to all who are able to get a better price. 8)

I don't have the ad, but there are still several of the Stevens 200 in .270 in and around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area Academy stores. Price remains $179.00.

What is the normal, everyday price of a Stevens 200 @ Academy when they are not overstocked ? Thanks - Jim

I think it is less than $250. The magnums and .223 are higher, $299 I think. Still a great deal at $250! The magnum combos are $399.

Are any of the Academy's still selling at $179?

Hey L! I went today and the guy said they aren't gonna carry them any more and they didn't have any in stock. He's the second to tell me that. I wish I had bought a LA for my next build.

I was at the Grapevine store today and they had none. Gun clerk looked up the area stock and named several local stores. Among them, McKinney and Lewisville come to mind. Stock numbers were low but several stores had one or more remaining. I believe that any Academy can look up the gun inventory for any store in the system.

With where I live & where I travel to & hang out- live in Florida, have property in & hang out in Virginia, I don't come anywhere near an Academy store. Not only that, but since 2009 Virginia can't, or won't, sell firearms to a resident of Florida :-[. No "treaty" I suppose ? The last 200 I bought, on discount, was $305 out the door. It was purchased in Virginia & I had to get my sister to buy it for me. The one before that was bought in 2007 & cost $350 out the door. That was back when I could still purchase it in Va. myself. The closest Academy store that I could access & purchase from is all the way up, & across, the state of Florida. It would cost many times more than the savings to get there, but no matter, that store doesn't have those rifles anyway.

Listen guys ! $179 to anyone in the shooting & hunting sports is next to nothing ! I just spent $100 yesterday on bullets, cases, & a few knickknacks.

The point is, anyone who can get a Stevens 200 for $179 to $299 is getting a huge bargin. If you don't seek out & take advantage of this, a year from now you're going to be "kicking" yourself. As the guy in the commercial says, "I jump in it" ! The Edge/Axis is nowhere near the rifle the Stevens 200 is & it cost more. JMAO ! So, go for it - good luck - enjoy ! Jim
