Im about to bed my stock but all the writeups I see are on Remington or Winchester actions. Anybody have any pics or writeups on Savage actions being bedded?

Yeah....well, it was all I had in my reference library. It's not significantly different from a savage....and bedding isn't exactly brain surgery. And for your gun.....it's for sure thanking the gun gods for that.

This Coming from a guy with an avatar like yours... ::)
It seems like it IS significantly different than a savage. It appears people are not bedding the rear of the action, unlike the rifle in the writeup you posted. Thanks for you contribution.

When you say "Bed your stock" are you glass bedding the barrel channel for the full length? Or are you looking to bed just the action? What stock and action are you working with?

The 6mmbr article is an excellent article that touches several key points on bedding for accuracy. Keep everything as consistent as possible for maximum accuracy. I know this not what you're looking for, but below is a photo of a 10/22 we pillar bedded with Devcon.

Hey Dave, thanks for the link. One of the best I've seen on pillar bedding.
