Have you ever had a problem with getting a good clear focus with the benchrest model with the control on the front of the scope ? I have never used one like this I always use side focus model but for $500.00 less I can learn to use it ;D

I've got one of each type of NightForce scopes. I think the BR model might be clearer when focused. I thought I had read somewhere that the internals to make the side focus might lower the clarity. My NXS is till very good...and serves its purpose as more of a hunting scope. My BVSS...in the picture is wearing the 5.5-22x by 56mm NXS. My BR rifle wears a 8-32x by 56mm BR. The BR is awesome as far as having the ability to really dial in your shots....but don't lose count from your zero!

thanks I intend to hire someone to counts my turns and clicks so I can keep track of the 257 turns needed with 1/8 moa clicks from 100 to 100 yards :-*

If your scope is like my T36 Weaver, then it has 72 clicks per full turn. So you really only need to know to turn the elevation knob 3.5 full turns from your 100 yard zero to get on target at 1000 yards.

The BR model is the way to go for F class at 1000 yds. It really improved my scores by allowing me to aim and dial in 1/8moa clicks for exact shot placement. I prefer the N2DD- Its very open, allows you to see more to dope the wind and call you shots- the flags, mirage, other peoples targets, etc.

I ordered the 5.5-22x50 with NP-R1 reticle and 1/4MOA knobs yesterday. Nightforce says 4 weeks for delivery.

I use the Sightron SIII 6-24x50 for F-Class and I really like it. It has the side focus and target dot reticle. Optics are excellent and it runs around mid 700's depending on where you buy it. Great scope. Chris

I see March now has an 80 power (yes 8 to 80 variable). I can't imagine what mirage looks like through this. might be great. The five year warranty put me off. Compared to NightForce lifetime warranty...

A bit too pricey for me. $3900-4380....

could not find it when I looked, but the price of the 60x made me quite looking. :)

From one Chip to another....you hit the nail on the head!! People squawk that the Jap. government only allows up to a 5 year warranty. But hey...my NightForce scopes have a lifetime warranty.....at about half the price. I think March / Kelbly's need to re-evaluate things......once the hysteria simmers down about the March. I'm not buying into the hysteria......but I will tell you the Premier Heritage scope is all that and a bag of chips!

I was thinking about getting this scope for F-Class shooting. Trying to see if there is anything better for the same price?

With all the radiation near the March plant you might end up with a "RAYGUN". ???

I use a 8-32x56LR TD Sightron and couldn't be happier. For the money it beats out everything else, and in some cases much more expensive scopes. Definitely better than a Leupold MK4 and right on par, if not slightly better than a 12-42x56 NF BR scope that a fellow shooter had. In my opinion there is no better scope for the money, very pleased with it.
