I am hoping that the HRT from Stocky's work. I have one at the house for a new build while I'm on Mid tour leave next month. As long as it's the 4.40 inch spacing it should work I'm told. If not I'm gonna be busy with the dremel. ;D ;D ;D ;D

As long as the stock has the 4.400" screw spacing it will indeed work. You just dont have a middle action screw.

I have taken a few B&C Medalists and put target actions in them and they drop right it. The only thing I had to do was relieve the last 4-5 inches of the barrel channel a little to fit the 1" bull barrel.

If you wanna see whats in-stock and available for fast shipment, you have a couple good options:

1-check with Northlander here in the site vendor classifieds. He carries the factory Savage stocks for most models(including the HS Precision LRPV stocks).

2-check with Stocky's Gunstocks, who is also in the vendors classifieds and has a link to his site. When you get to his site scroll down the page. Looking on the left side of the page, click onto "Savage Centerfeed". That will bring up everything he has for the Centerfeed(4.400" screw spacing).

Thanks I'll check it out. I would prefer to use a stock with provision for all three screws. The hs precision looks pretty good- what are the advantages/disadvantages of a savage factory or hs stock?

One my 243's and 264's. bascially none! I use both!

I love them both, but I love McMillian, HS, Stockage (one on order), and a few more catch my eye!

I fiberglassed in a 3rd pillar where the blind magazine is on the Medalist to fit my target action.

Took a couple of hours, but I think it turned out very well.
