chronograph formula

Is there a formula for finding the actual muzzle velocity at the end of the barrel, when the chronograph is ten feet from the muzzle? I know you don't lose much at 10 feet, but there is a loss.

If there is one that's measurable, I'd bet it's within the ES of 5 shots of your load's 10' reading. If you want to interpolate, grab one of the ballistics programs and look at the MV vs the Velocity at 50 yards and take 3.33/50ths of that and add it to your 10' reading......
