Just a quick question. I picked up a 111 in .270win.
Do these rifles like a certain flavor of ammo? I.e. Winchester, Federal, Remington?
Also if you shoot different brands in the same weight, are the groups off by much from the brand you used to zero?
The only reason i ask, my step brother bought me a box of winchester 130g and my father a box of Remington 130g
I "zeroed" in with Federal 270A 130g.
I've only shot out to 25yards(indoor range. still quite cold & snowy in MI)

mine will shoot most all the winchester ammo pretty well ... I also use 130g ... but it REALLY like hornady SST ;D

Give the 130gr Fusions a try. Always seem to get outstanding accuracy with good terminal performace on game.

You will probably see a slight difference in POI from one make to another due to different powders, primers, velocity, etc. With good ammo you shouldnt see a big difference. There may be a difference in lots of ammo from the same amnufacturer as well as ambient temperatures. It is best to zero with the ammo you will hunt with. Then rezero if you use another brand latter on.
