Firing pin assembly length?

Are the firing pin assemblies the same for short, and old first generation "j" short action bolts...or are they all different?

SSS could adapt long action bolt parts to work, but you would have as much money wraped up in it as you would just buying a new stevens action off of Jim Briggs.
