How to remove Pillars?

How could I go about removing the pillars from a Stevens 200 stock? I tried knocking them out with hammer and they won't budge. I thought about trying to heat up the plastic stock with a torch to get them out. I'm not worried about salvaging the stock. I need the pillars to put in a Hart LRT stock.

Bronells have the original pillars for Savage for sale......probably be alot easier to order them.....rsbhunter

If I am not mistaken the pillars in the plastic stocks are shorter than the ones required to use in the replacement stock you bought. Go ahead and buy the longer pillars from Stockys'.
