I use 42 Gr Varget with Nosler BT 95 gr in 243 in Savage rifle

then 48grains in 308 with 150 Gr BT in Remington 700

Both loads make all kinds of Critters DRT

Accuracy is excellent for me!

varget will work, but most cartridges shoot better when the case is fuller and vargets gonna leave alot of room in there. imr4350 would be a better choice, imo.

is imr 4350 temp sensitive?

I run 45.0 Grs of Varget under 150gr SST's in my 308. Great load.

I've run Varget in several different loads for the 243 and 243AI and has always been good.

Varget has been very, very good to me!!! I run it in my 308(43.5gr w/165Nosler BT's), my 6br, and my 22-250.

This spring I am gonna try some RL15 in my 22-250. It is a close replacement to varget but said to give a little better velocity. I have 6lbs. of it but have yet to even open them. Winter sucks!

pdog06, you'll like that RL15 in 22-250.

I run Varget under 150 grain game kings in my 308, has worked great on deer and elk so far, I had been using 47.0 grains but just started using a new can of varget and got some high pressure signs, flatter than normal pimers and a stuck ejector pin. Took the chrono out today and it confirmed higher than normal velocity, pulled three bullets and verified 47 grains, Due to the pressure signs I am gonna pull the rest and back them down a little.
Seems like the new batch is a little hotter.

I use 45.5 gr Varget in my 6mmREM with 58gr Nosler CT....have not chrony yet but shoots great and like the saying goes 'speed kills' .. well speedy lead that is.

I run Varget in my 7mm-08 across the spectrum of bullet weights and in my 243 with lighter bullets(90 grains and less), but with 105's and 107's , I get better performance out of a pretty full case of H4831sc.
