I mounted the new Millett LRS-1 6x25-56 it came with the 35mm rings, BUT way too high. Does any one have suggestions for height of rings that don't cost an arm and a leg??http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd446/rjoy90/savage/DSC_1594.jpghttp://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd446/rjoy90/savage/DSC_1589.jpghttp://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd446/rjoy90/savage/DSC_1587.jpghttp://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd446/rjoy90/savage/DSC_1586.jpg

The rail is the problem. You have plenty of space in that large scope that you can use regular either (1)piece or (2) piece bases. I never install a rail unless the distance between the rings is either to long or I can't move the scope far enough to the rear to proper focus.

A rail is no different than a one piece base. Those rings are AR height rings, look like extra high.

Yep those are the tall set that come standard with the LRS. I would think you could do lows with the one piece rail and still be able to fit your scope caps on.
