Bought a Stevens 200 when they were on sale at Academy for $179. Bedded the original stock but noticed quite a bit of flex and movement.

After much looking, I bought a cheap Bell & Carlson Duramaxx. Bedded it and the results follow.

Each pair of targets are the same exact load....original stock on the left.....new stock on the right.

100yds and the squares are 1"

I've experiernced similar results going from tupperware to a bedded walnut stock. My best 270 Win groups to date with a 115 grain Sierra BTHP and RE-22 have been .647", .714" and .409" for three shots @ 100 yards using a 3x9x40 scope. I have yet to find a 130 gr load that shoots less than 1.4" at the same range.

Wow! I take from the load this is either a 25-06 or 270?

The Three "B"s

Bullets

Barrels

Bedding

Get all three right and you will have a shooter!
