Make your own from an old spinnerbait or buzz bait. The preferred size is .040. The local WalMart sells them for $1 each. A guy on here gives the wire away is you check the member classifieds.

I went to a local piano store and they gave me a foot of wire for free, used the old spring as a pattern, made one in a couple of minutes.

For cheap money you can get a Savage 3 screw trigger and swap it out. They are adjustable and there are cheat sheets available here for proper adjusting and with the new spring they are very good. Call Jim Briggs at Northlander, he advertises on this website. He sells them and I think he also has the lighter spring.

Another option for the spring wire is any halfway decent hobby shop. Look for the 'K&S Metal' display. Lots of options for different diameter wire as well as a few different types of material. I bought some .041 spring steel wire locally at ~ $0.80 for a three foot length. They also had "phosphor bronze" wire, but I wasn't sure it would work the same for my needs.
