or the the BAS (Big Ass Screw), or the cocking sleeve ??

Talking the 38 shell/ball bearing setup.

I read where one person says yes, another runs it full length.

Thanks

You definitely need to trim it or your bolt lift will be TWICE as heavy.

cut a washer the same thickness as your lift kit
an install between the bas &bolt handle

I asked Kevin @ Stockade when I order a bolt lift kit last month, if I needed to shortened the back action screw when installing this. His answer was no, it is not necessary.

Since I've installed the bolt lift kit, and polished the cocking pin, my bolt lift has gone down to about 10 foot pounds of torque.

Found a brass trust washer at ace to use as a spacer between the handle and allen bolt and its within 4 thousands of what I need so I went that route.

Now my next problem, is my other complete rifle bolt is from the stone age, and the rear bolt goes into
the cocking sleeve so I cant use that one at all with out machining it quite a bit and I dont have a lathe or milling machine any more unfortunately.

It is the slotted type bolt.

Think I will just get another rear allen bolt.
Anybody have a spare SS rear bolt let me know.
