Hope this is in the right section, I need a good recoil lug, I want to go with SSS but I've heard stories of people having to wait very long times before getting there product, if that isn't true let me know, but if it is, is there another good aftermarket recoil lug for a small shank barrel? Thanks ya'll.

I think any machined recoil lug would be fine.

I would just give Jim a call

Call Jim, leave a message if you have to and he *WILL* call back...sometimes 10 hours later at 8pm eastern at night, after having been on the phone all day with customers who were in line ahead of you :o

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Jim & NSS again.

I had a little trouble trying to contact SSS about a month ago to make an order including a recoil lug, but once I made the order I recieved it in a timely fashion and it is a quality product.

I ordered a recoil lug and bolt handle from SSS. After a month with no contact I called. They told me to keep waiting and they'd get to me. Well, their time frame has come and gone, me still without parts and they haven't called.

'bout ready to walk away from them and chalk it up to educational experience.

SSS can be slow with their custom machined parts. I've read they wait for enough orders to have a certain batch size before the have the parts machined.

It's been a month and half since they charged my handle order to my cc.

I'll keep on waiting.

Thanks for the help guys. That sucks about the handle because I really wanted to order one too.

Spaz, if you want a handle, you can check out Tactical Works online. I believe they sell the SSS ones.

It would be nice if Jim had a website, at the least, he could make his sub-forum where you could post questions.
