The "F" is for plastic stock
The "XP" is for package gun comes with a scope and rings.

The Edge/Axis is a new line, and shares nothing with the Savage 10.

The original Savage rifle was the model 110, it was called that because back in 1958 it cost $110 dollars. Your model 10 is a short action version of the original gun.
