I have a 10 FCP-HS in .308 that seems to be a little odd. Loading a 175 SMK to 2.800" is well into the lands. I don't know exactly how long (or short rather) I had to load them because I record my OAL at the ogive and I don't have any 175's handy. As I recall at 2.800" I was driving the bullets something like 20 to 30 thou into the lands. I'm seeing other people being able to load them all the way out to 2.890" before touching the lands. Is having a chamber this incredibly short normal?
