. I uses a ElChepo Harbor Freight table top drill press ($40 in 1985?) like the one that T/C used to chamber Contender barrels.
you think there a bit off? :)

Blue Avenger: If you mean Contender factory barrels you should go to Mike Bellum's web site and look at the pictures of chamber casts of factory barrels. You will know why they came up with the term "GETTYWAMPUS".

I just received a tap and die from JTS. The 'shopping cart' price for both was about $20.00. I finished up the the checkout info and never saw a price on shipping and their website kept defaulting my preferred shipping to UPS over USPS. OK, so I complete the deal. 3 days later my goods arrive (by UPS) and the invoice inside shows a shipping charge of almost $10.00!!!! HOLY COW!! This is from Ohio to Iowa. I had a rather lengthy discussion with their customer service-pleasant but no concessions. The package weighed 5 ounces and the online USPS site quoted $2.30.

Bottem line folks, watch your wallet when dealing with JTS--Use their dime and call in the order so you can know all the charges--or better yet, shop for another source. I will next time. Steve

I have a couple extra set! I may part with them, I over nighted them, plus ordered them from a speciality warehouse! NONE were in the state of Louisiana. I might be able to part with two of he sets (drill bit, and tap), up front, I will ship them to the lower 48 for $30.00 a set!

If the demand is there, I would order a big lot of them if there were enough people intersted in them! Maybe they would be a litte cheaper!

I was critisized for the above post . . . too high! . . . but I have had several people contact me after they found out how much it actually takes to get them to "your door"!

No company wants to ship a small order.

They can be had from Manhattan Supply Company aka MSC Supply. I bought one of the stubby TIN coated drill bits the tap was standard high speed steel. Their standard UPS ground usually comes next day.
Best regards,

Above is Tap only.

I bought the Titanium drill bit which cost a few $$$$, but should last forever.

Otherwise, that's a good price on the Tap!
