CRNA I have used your method many times in an ar15 and ak47, but I have been shooting for a long time, so if I am going to take the time to cycle a bolt I have minimum standards at what is acceptable, and anyway brass does not last long enough to begin with so I would rather save it for a shot that won't aggravate me.

Was just trying to be funny.

Just to add to my hydraulic primer remover story, the same great uncle a blacksmith by trade had all kinds of military ammo I think it was 303 British, anyway he use to take those apart and empty the powder into a bowl, and then scoop the 30-30 round into the bowl and fill to cap then take the 303 round and grind off the point to make it blunt, and then crimp the cartridge with some kind of pliers that he made, he lived into his early 90s and hunted well into his 80s. they don't make men like that anymore.
