Hey all, I posted about this particular rifle about a week ago concerning the crown. Took it out and ran 100 rounds through it. Shot pretty good, had one group at 0.25" - don't think the crown is an issue!

Anywho, the main purpose that that trip was to break in rifle and to get my brass set for neck sizing. Now I want to start doing some load dev to see what this babies got.

Book is 2.350 COAL, I'd like to stretch that out a bit. Tried the magic marker on a dummy round method and came up with the following COALs that leave the bullet off the lands:

40 Gr Hornady V-Max 2.480"
55 Gr Berger Match Grade 2.465"

Anyone who has this same rifle/caliber - what COALs are you using? Thanks.

I figured it might be a non issue. Good to see that it is shooting well. If it still bothers you, just about any local gunsmith can recrown it for you. It is very inexpensive to have this done.

I have a 12bvss in 22-250. I have only messed with 55 gr VMax and 55 gr Nosler BT. Both shoot the best with OAL of 2.46 pushed with 36 gr of Varget.
