I assume you mean the 7mmWSM since there is no factory 7mmWSSM.

The case capacity is 81.10 gr h20 according to quickload.

i do mean 7 wssm i have a 300wsm looking for a little more barrel life and with the wssm the oal would be shorter i could seat them long and mag feed them

From what I have read, there really is no sense in making a 7wssm it would be identical balistics to a 7mm-08 and the brass, dies would be cheaper.

Olympic was looking to chamber an upper for an AR-15 in 7 WSSM, which would make for a very good performing deer round.

look at the gamestalker series.

I am waiting on a 243wssm barrel now but, I was already thinking of other wssm options. This 7mm wssm sounds interesting. But, I still have about 3 months until my 243 barrel gets here. I have noticed the 243 wssm brass is very thick and the winchester brand needs some attention before it can be loaded. Alot of the case mouths had a flat side on them. Brass quality is a disappointment.

I got to thinking about your post, and remembered what was said about another wildcat that olympic arms is chambering for, the 300 OSSM (Olympic super short magnum) they said they were getting 30.06 performance out of it, if that is the case, wouldn't that translate out to 270 performance, not 7mm 08?

it would be 280 performance

You might be able to get velocity in between the 7mm-08 and the 280 but that will probably be at the top end. Every barrel is different though and it might shoot good at the top end but then again it might not. It might be hard to get the brass for the wssm, but you could also have better brass with the 7mm-08. Yes the 7wssm would be sweet on the ar15 platform because of the length.
