SAVAGE 99C

Hello all, new to the forum,

I have a Savage 99c in .308 that I am having troubles firing. I have taken the gun down and it seems that the sear bracket is releasing the pressure on the fire pin assembly as I bring the lever back to the closed position. Luckily it seems to keep enough pressure as not to let the gun fire. I am going to replace the sear bracket assembly and hopefully this will fix the gun. Looking for a little help, if any is out there.

Sounds to me like you've got the problem figured out already, where are you getting the parts from?

I found the part on gunbroker.com, Numrich no longer stocks the part.
