Is there a way to scope a rifle like this with out spending thousands of dollars? I don't think any of my extra barska or BSA scopes will be up to the task.

So something like a monarch or a bushnell 4200 would take the abuse?

I've had great luck with my bushnell 6500 4.5-30x on my RUM's and Edge.

I just bought my Edge a late Christmas present. a First Focal Plane Bushnell 4200 6-24x50.

I wouldn't hesitate to put a Vortex on anything either. They have a fantastic warranty, and I've heard great things about their customer service.

Any of the Bushnell Elite scopes should hold up. I have a 3200 3-9x40 that as been on every thing from a 204 Ruger to a 458 Win Mag. This included more than 500 rounds on a 375 H&H. You can find the 3200's for under $200 depending on the power range you're looking for.

If $500 or so is in you price range, I think that you could find some of the Bushnell 4200 line, or some of the Leupold VX-3 scopes that would work for you. I really like Nikon scopes, but I'm not sure about their durability.
