What 20moa scope mount for the Savage 12 F/TR and Bausch and Lomb 4000 Elite 6x24x40?

Do I want a 2 piece or 1 piece base?

Aluminum or Steel?

Any difference between brands?

Thank You

Have a one piece mount on my F/TR a EGW #4015 which is three inches longer for better scope placement in prone

Ken Farrell (http://www.kenfarrell.com/scan/fi=products/st=db/co=yes/sf=category/se=Savage%20Round%20Top%20Long/op=eq/sf=prod_group/se=Scope%20Mount/op=eq.html) are the ones I have on my plans list for when I get to that point.

I think the one piece bases are better but do use the two base weaver type bases on occasion. Your looking at building a competition rifle for F/TR I would go with the one piece.

Do you have a picture you can show please? Looking to get a scope mount soon. Wondering if the extra 3" will be too much?
