I noticed on the Savage site, they no longer list the 10FP, instead showing the 10 Precision Carbine.

its gone from the site and gone from budsgunshop, although i still see a few here and there on gunbroker. i was going to pick one up. what i have read, although im not certain, is that savage plans to introduce the same rifle with a threaded barrel. it'll be called the 10 fp-sr. new model is still not showing on the webpage. i think they should drop the 10 fp w/ the 24 inch barrel in an accustock and call it done. no muzzle break, no fluting, etc.

FWIW, i've got the model 10 pc and love it. i've turned it into my deer hunting rifle though, w/ a low mounted 2-7x scope. liked it enough that i was going to pick up a standard 10 fp and turn it into more of a tactical rifle w/ mil dot scope, etc. but, theyre gone.

What were/are the differences between the 10FP and the 10 Precision Carbine? Other than the camo stock, which I'm not too fond of.

differences are barrel length and contour, Accustock and DBM i believe.

Found out directly from Savage, though, that the contour on the 10FP-SR isn't the same ( a little lighter), muzzle diameter just before the threaded area is .75", which I guess is somewhere in between the medium contour Precision Carbine and the normal heavy barrel on the FCP HS and McM?
