Choate Ultimate Varmint or Choate Ultimate Tactical?

Will be shooting in F/TR Class matches 600 and maybe 1000 yards.

Im not sure I like the looks of the slanted part where the bipod attaches to.

Which one would be better?

Thanks

I dunno about for F/TR, but I have the Ultimate Varmint and my buddy has a Ultimate Tacticle. We both like the Varmint better.

Slanted part? are you thinking of the Ultimate Sniper?

Yes, that is correct.. Ultimate Sniper has the slant. I really dont care for the looks of that. I do like the looks of the Varmint over the Tactical.

McMillan has a special for A3's...if yours is a staggered feed.

a couple of people have tried to sell me on the slant front. they say it is much better for adjusting your bipod height while in the field and making finer adjustments. I can see where it may be helpful I suppose but I like the look and feel of the Varmint better for field work on lil varmints when in the prone position.

It's not exactly like Ultimate Sniper model. On the Varmint stock you can adjust lenght of pull only (by adding or removing spacers) whereas on the Sniper model, besides length of pull, you can also adjust the butt plate up and down.

That is exactly correct LG. Sorry I didn't mean to mislead with my reply.
