Model 11 Lightweight Hunter Availability?

Anyone aware of, or have insight as to when these will be available? Also. looking at the picture on the Savage websight, the top of the receiver appears to be flat. Any idea what bases/rings these will take? Wondering if there is a Talley lightweight that would work? The picture also shows a walnut stock with no checkering and the barrel threads stick out from the barrel nut. Pre-production rifle, or finished product?

Can't figure out how to get a response from Savage. Their website says "available now through stocking dealers". Dealer I called said he can't find it in the system. Sigh...

I've been looking at as well and i have been told that it probably won't be made public until after the shot show in Jan. My local dealers say around Feb. before they see the new rifles here. If someone comes up with one it would be nice to hear a review and a real world price. blue
