Anyone tried them out yet? They are the same weight as the AMAX's, but have a higher BC, and are advertised on their site as being made with what they are referring to as AMP jackets (Advanced Manufacturing Process). I'll be interested to see how these work, as their BC's are getting closer to Berger's (especially with their new 285 grain .338 bullet) :)

After a little research:

23 3/4 minutes of new products here, including the bullets mentioned above.

(I think I'm gonna order some of the 178 AMP's for my 308. I'll let you know how they shoot with RL17, as I'm going to experiment with that as well.)

Thanks for the link man, have you or anyone else heard what the bc is going to be on the 225 gr 30cal bullet is going to be, and what twist would be needed to shoot it.

Thanks,
Nathan

BC of the 7mm/.284 162 gr AMax is .625!! A little less kick than a 225 gr thirty caliber.

Dont want to beat a dead horse.... but has anyone loaded any of the new AMP's? Or maybe I should ask, has anyone seen them on the shelves yet? A quick search gave me a whole bunch of news related links. Also searched Midway just to double check and found nothing.

Hornady's site says that that the new jacket will be a feature of all the new a-max's and match hp's. When will we see the change-over? Has anyone seen new packaging? The closest retail to me is a Cabela's store, and I did not see any of the new stuff as of last week. (but that doesnt mean much as they are usually slow in recieving new product).
