Recently purchased this rifle it's in near perfect condition. No barrel marks or dents, dings a pure box job. My questions are how many were made in this rare caliber and what is it worth in 98%+ condition. Plus, it is a tack driver. Ser. # C730xxx

Not many made and in the condition your explaining it at I'd say it was a decent $1500 rifle at the very least. Might go higher on an auction site, all you need is two guys that want it real bad.

I've got a 6-24X scope on mine and can make the 1" gong dance all day at the 200 yd marker.

Made in 1978.

If your planning on keeping it and shooting it for the rest of your life then ya, do what you want to it.

If you think you'll end up selling it down the road I wouldn't cause the studs will make it a shooter and no longer a collectible. Pretty much make a $1500 gun into a $500 gun.
