Hello, I have a Stevens Model 200 in 22-250 w/ a 6 x 24 Buschnell and i am wanting to kill some coyote's in my area ( southwestern, Pa. ), i was wondering if anyone had any handload info to help me ? P.S. New to board and new to reloading, my brother in-law has been reloading for many years and is going to be helping me, also any other advice on hunting them would be appreciated. Thanks

My savage mdl 10 predator loves 34.0 g Varget with a 55g V-max. Have also had great loads out of IMR4895 with the 22-250.

My Savage Model 16 22-250 with 1-12 twist likes:

32.8 Grains of Varget
Rem Brass
Win LR Primers
60 Grain V-Max

Nothing ever walks/crawls away....

that new Powder from Hornady ,,,(Superformance) launches these 60 Gr V-Max to 3700+ fps!

Dang near the same Load mine likes. 34.0 of Varget, and 55V-Max does very well, but mine seemed to like the 55 Sierra Spitzer better.

EDIT: Mine is a 12FV 22-250 w/ 1:12 twist

+1 on the v-max bullets. They work well on coyotes out of my .223 rifle. At 22-250 velocities I'm sure they will be devastating.
