H 1000 and ramshot

my local supply store carries ramshot and not h 1000. what is the difference they are only 1 number apart on hodgdon burn rate chart. there are alot of post about h 1000.

The Ramshot powders are all double-based spherical powders. The Hodgdon H-1000 is single-based extruded. I shoot
Ramshot Big Game and Hunter in various cartridges, both good powders. I shoot Hodgdon H-1000 in my 6CM and my magnums, never tried the Ramshot Magnum.
