Stock Forearm Footprint Dimensions

Looking for some example dimensions to widen my 12BVSS stock forearm footprint. Not so much dimension's for length but width. However both would be good if you don't mind.

My research has revealed 4-5 inch wide for bench. But I would rather hear from the shooters regarding their recommendations.

In case I am not clear on my wishes heres a McMillan Straight Line Edge with a widened forearm footprint.

Urbanrifleman makes a 3” bag rider that is fitted for the bvss stock. In case you’d rather do that than modify the stock.
