Finally got set up with the frames I've been wanting. Thanks to Marty at HOA for hanging in there and working hard to try to get folks taken care of in the best way possible. I think he's been given some rough treatment at the hands of SSK but he's doing everything he can do to make the best of it.
The Flatside seems smooth as silk and not fussy about barrels. The Lynx is a little tighter and won't accept every barrel I tried. For now I've got an SSK 445 barrel on the Lynx and it seems to function properly as long as the action is snapped shut forcefully.
We'll see how the Lynx does at the range and see how my new stock design works out - it feels great and I think it'll tame some of the recoil of that 445. The Flatside has already proven itself providing 1/2 and 1/4 MOA groups with my Bullberry 25-45 barrel.
I'm feeling very lucky and very satisfied. :)

Very nice! I think the stock looks great. Hopefully the .445 is as accurate as the Bullberry.

The shape of the rifle stock looks like something I would like to try. I have to use high or extra high rings with factory made stocks I would prefer mediums, Nicely done even if it is a first timer, I mean wow cant wait to see what the next one looks like

Great looking setups. I too like your stock, nice work. I like the forends too, especially the bottom one with its width.

I'm hoping that others will post their new SSK rigs now that there's a pretty good number of them out in the world. :)

Sweet!
I've been wanting some sort of green lam stock...some of the "camo" laminate patterns are interesting to me. Now that I'm knee deep in walnut stock blanks, that's probably all I'll ever have. :)
