I have 1954 model 99 that I cannot get the bolt/screw out from the butt of the stock. Obviously little access here so suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know of guys that have used tire irons with the crossbar in to get enough leverage to remove stuck stock bolts.

Unless there's a stock repair needing to be made, I'd really question my need to get the stock off at that point.

Careful to not put torque on the buttstock while working on that, had to crack a side panel or tang.

I understand the need to remove the stock. You need it off to do anything such as deep cleaning of the receiver components. Might try some heat with a heat gun applied to the upper and lower tang area. Might not be practical though. Probably need to get a large screwdriver. Build up the diameter if the screwdriver shaft in two places close to the bit end and up near the handle but low enough that it enters the hole in the stock. Build it up until it will just enter the hole in the shaft. This will keep the shaft centered in the hole. Get some way to gain leverage like pliers or if the shaft of the screwdriver is square get a wrench on it.

Screwdriver that FITS. Pad the circumference. In addition to torque apply lots of forward force to keep the tip from backing out.
Let a little Blaster soak into the screw and hole.

Sorry for being late to the party.
Been a couple weeks, one post and gone, so he probably has it out.
