I need to know what parts are missing from this bolt, and what model it's compatible with. I looked through many schematics, and it closely resembles the model 3.
If someone recognizes this style bolt, I'm also interested in knowing how the cocking mechanism functions, I have looked over the schematics of the model 3 bolt, and with mine missing parts and me being unfamiliar with this gun, I'm having a hard time definitively understanding how it works, and what's missing.
The info stamped on the barrel is as follows:
Springfield Arms Company
Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A.
22 SHORT LONG
OR LONG RIFLE
"CHALLENGE"
(and an encircled "14" )
Thanks for any help.

It might be a version of a Page- Lewis that was marketed by Savage-Stevens for a while after they bought out the Page-Lewis Co. I could not find one that looked exactly like yours, and the bolt pictures I saw had a split body. Compare yours to some of these pictures - https://www.google.com/search?lr=&sca_esv=c8404836621fa050&as_qdr=all&sxsrf=ACQVn0-QNwZ1Tb6dmp9yrAedAnvZPi2OJQ:1706738243761&q=Page-Lewis+bolt+action+rifle&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwigt_m1z4iEAxUjpIkEHeYHCX0Q0pQJegQICxAB&biw=1520&bih=820&dpr=1.1

Thank you for your reply. Interesting. The Page- Lewis Model D sure does resemble this rifle, I haven't found any detailed pics of its bolt yet, but the barrel length doesn't match the 22" barrel on the Challenge. At this point, yes I'd love to get it working again, but I'm just as interested in learning how the bolt actually works and what's missing. I understand it would have a cocking piece that you pull out, but the rest is a bit of a mystery to me. Are there two springs in the bolt? Thanks again for your input.

Well, I found this. It seems to have been called the "model 52". In case anyone in the future is wondering.
