I have a Stevens 820B Shotgun with a damaged Barrel. Has anyone ever removed one? if so, how?

Not that particular model, but I have removed a couple. I grip the barrel with oak blocks in a hydraulic press. Pine pitch provides the grip. I believe I bought the blocks and pitch from Midway or Numrich. File/sand the blocks to match the taper of the barrel. I grip the receiver with a Mauser receiver wrench with multiple modifications/adaptations to match the receiver. It’s a challenging task (I’ve failed once), but satisfying when it works.

Thank you. That matches my findings too.

You are welcome! Applying Kroil for a few days doesn’t hurt. Applying heat is pointless. It’s impossible to heat the receiver and keep the barrel cool, so they expand at the same rate.
