Trying to identify a 99

Hello all, I've got a 99 that's hard to identify. Here's the details----303 Savage, pistol grip stock with factory checkering and metal shotgun butt, Schnabel type forend, 22 inch barrel, ramp front sight, dovetail rear with Marbles buckhorn, brass counter, factory drilled for peep sight. Serial number is 422xxx.I'm stumped G models were takedown, EG models not checkered? Any ideas?

99EG's were checkered by serial number 422,xxx, it was only the first several years that they were uncheckered. That should be your rifle, all the specs match that.
