Unfortunately no. 22-250 is its own, sharing with no other. The 308 is a much larger cartridge & will not work with that magazine.

Savage has made several 22-250 mags.

The first one had a spacer in the back like a 223 mag.

The second one had longer feed lips than a 308 mag.

At one time I think they used the 308 mag.[ ? ]

Now they list a different mag 55104.

You may need to open the feed lips or even shorten them. [my best guess]

Can you point out to me, please, which magazine works with savage axis II 7.62x39? I have never seen exactly this written on the box and nobody at Cabela's, Canadian Tire, or other shops can tell me exactly which one is going to work with this model.

I don’t believe Savage makes the Axis/Axis II in 7.62x39. At least not in the US. But I was to rebarrel an Axis in 7.62x39, I’d likely try a PN# 55230 or 55231, for 204Ruger/223Rem/300AAC or 22-250 respectively.
