First Bolt Gun at an older age? That’s interesting. Most people I know, myself included, Bolt Guns were always first. I’m 45yo. Started shooting at 12 & bought my first rifle at 18. Two bolt rifles intact. A Marlin in 22WMR & the rifle that started my love for the Savage 110, a Model 111 combo in 30-06. Wasn’t until my 20’s I started building AK’s & AR’s. I find it curious you were the other way around, and knob now doing Bolt Action.

So? What Model Savage did you get partner?
