I ordered the bolt lift kit,I hope it works,I have to use a feeler gauge where it contacts the baffle to get it to extract the brass
anybody know if the bolt lift kit will fix my problem?

What do you mean you need a feeler gauge? Do you mean you are using the feeler gauge as a spacer? If so, than no, the lift kit won’t help as the problem is with your Primary Extraction. This requires either epoxying a spacer on the rear baffle, or machining the Bolt Sleeve. Done both, both work.

You can make a spacer from sheet metal or Aluminum & with simple hand tools..files, saw & sandpaper. Made in the roughly the shape of the Rear Baffle. Then epoxy to the baffle so it’s between the Action & Baffle. (Just like when you use the feeler gauge)

This is helpful to read.

Do you know how old this rifle is? The problem could also be the chamber is just too tight. Which is something you would need to have a Gunsmith look at. Or just use it. It should lighten up some with use.

Also, I’m still confused by exactly how you were using the feeler gauge. This was with a spent cartridge? And, is the bolt handle normal to lift then just hard to pull back? (Extracting the brass) You just want to make certain the exact cause is known before you do any repair.

I had some failures to extract with handloads despite the brass being fully sized and trimmed to SAAMI spec. The brass of the neck expanded and jammed into the throat. It only happenned on 3 out of 40 handloads, and I had to poke one out with my cleaning rod. The chamber is as tight as (fill in the blank). Do you see signs of contact at the end of the brass neck?
