I have the opportunity to pick one up with the box and papers that is in great condition for $200. How would you rate the quality and the price? I have read in places that the scope has a lifetime warranty, but I have also interpreted the warranty to be for one year warranty, no questions. Which is it?

.

If you can get a nearly new Bushnell 4200 4-16X scope with a reticle you like for $200...

Jump on it.

It won't be as good as a fixed-power scope, but it will do.

I think it has to be a 4200 as I don't believe the 3200 is made in 4X16. If it is a 4200 4X16X40 it retails for about $500.00. Guess You ought to buy it!

Yes, it is a 4200. I already own a 3200 10x40 mildot. I think this is only offered with one type of reticle. Does anyone know what kind of warranty Bushnell gives on the 4200 series? I am going in thinking I won't have one, tough I will have the box that came with the scope.

Thanks. I thought it was a pretty good price. I went ahead and purchased the scope from him. It seems pretty nice, but I've never looked through a $1500 scope so this is a nice example of what I don't know doesn't hurt me.

The 4200 series scopes are almost as sharp as the $1200 Leupold VXIIIs. You did great for $200.

That is a good buy. I have several 4200's and like them a lot. I also have a lot of Leupolds and they compare well to VXII's. i dont think they are in the same leauge as the VX-3's I have. I would like to check out a 6500 though. Perhaps my next higher end scope may be a 6500.

The warranty is lifetime, no receipt required, to any and all owners.

IN ADDITION, there is a 1 year, no questions asked, money back guarantee for any reason whatsoever.

Sounds like a great deal! But I thought the Bushnell warranty was only for original owners?
