How many measure the rim thickness on their RF ammo ?

I started doing this and have found improved accuracy.
I use Wolf match in my BRJ and have found that there is about .04" difference in the rim thickness of the cartridges. Some ammo has less or more variation, but most seem to vary a little.

I buy the ammo by the brick and then use a Hornady rim fire guage. I seperate the cartridges as to the rim thickness and then put all with the same thickness in each box.
The left over cartridges are used to season the barrel.

I find better consistancy in my groups when the rims are all the same thickness.
It does take time, but if you are shooting for groups, it's well worth the time.

You will also find that your rifle shoots best with one rim thickness.

I'm sure that many of you already do this, but for those who don't, it's a darn good idea.

I am quite sure you ;D meant to write .004" ;) I haven't resorted to that as of yet; my FVT (restocked) shoots Remington bulk Golden Bullet into an inch at 100 yards. No kidding.
