Savage model 840 30-30

Picked up a savage model 840 30-30 today and am looking for a new magazine. Where is the best place to find one?
also, where do I find a serial number guide to figure out the date of manufacture?

Triple K makes them, but those guys are notorious for long back orders. Midway or Brownells might have Triple K mags in stock, or you might find some on eBay.
