Axis single shot sled

What is the best way to make my axis a single shot? I have emailed Fred at SSS but I have not received a response. Has anyone 3d printed one?

Just remove the ejector. Then lay the round on top of the magazine and slide bolt closed. Some cartridges, like my .223, this does not work. But, for the .308 it does.

I'm working on a build using a Savage Axis action. Rifle Basics trigger, Boyds stock, and EABCO barrel chambered in 17 Fireball. I guess you could say I'm on a quest to replace my B-Mags in 17 Win super mag, which I have been using for 10 years. I had 2 of them, sold one. I am having a hard time believing Hornady, Federal, and especially Winchester have quit producing ammo!!?? But I digress. I am also in need of a single shot follower and have looked hi and low without much success. I have also tried to email SSS and have gotten no reply. I am curious about the AICS adapters. They don't really seem to be brand specific and I'm a bit confused on there use? I've been shooting and building for about 40-50 years. I guess I just haven't kept up with some stuff since I never really had a hard time finding "parts". Anyone got any clues on this issue?? By the way, Handi204, would that follower work with the Fireball?

I just use the Bob Sled in 308 AI . Works great but mine is a detachable box mag feeder
