Hello all!

I am new here and will be making a post to introduce myself in a moment. However, I have a question. I recently bought a Savage 110 in 7mm Remington magnum (very fun). The gun's serial number shows the manufacture date as 1991, the rear sight is a ramp that is screwed into the barrel infront of the scope mounts. I have been unable to locate a picture of one that looks identical. Mine appears to be missing a piece on top of the elevation adjustment, there is a screw hole on top. Are there aftermarket or factory components available that I can acquire? Or should I just remove the sight?

Thanks!

Numrich doesn't have any in stock, but you could probably buy it directly from Savage.

Will that one match? My sight is quite a bit longer than that and looks different...

Like Tx said. BUT……

You’ll have much more fun with a scope. You have a 7mmRM which done correctly, is capable of mile shots! HA! I don’t even use Irons on my AR’s, LOL!

This is my rear sight. Is it actually missing a component? I can't tell....

I agree :) a scope is much more fun. But I am old-fashioned and enjoy having the iron sights just because I can :)

Yes, you’re is missing the actual sight. Either V-notch or Peep-sight that fits I the groove on the top portion of yours in that picture.

That actually looks like a Remington 700 rear sight base.
