Hola from New Mexico. I joined today and wanted to say hello. I'm a seasoned (read "old") reloader, shooter and hunter, although I don't own any Savage guns or equipment. My gun safe contains lots of history and my main interest here is to share that history and my meager but eclectic shooting library. The Newton cartridges are favorites and I have great appreciation for the dreamers, designers and gunsmiths who have guided shooting history in a meaningful manner. We all are in debt for their efforts and ideas.
I have a variety of small game/varmint rifles, a modest collection of deer guns and handguns, and reload for all of them, other than the rimfires. I'm a SASS lifer, although there is no club within an hour drive. I am frustrated (yeah, who isn't?) by the current situation with powder, primers, brass and bullets being scarce and expensive, but thankful that we can "roll our own" with older inventory and keep our heritage alive. On that topic, do you know of any manufacturer making .227 bullets?
Specific interests: .227 Hawk/.227 X 6 mm Rem Improved, the equivalent of the .22 Newton
.250 Savage/.250-3000
.256 Newton
