What trigger options are available for a 93R-17 ?

I can't get my stock trigger below 2 pounds or so. I would love it at 12 ounces.
I tried sear polishing, but that didn't help much.
I know there's a 'Rifle Basix' trigger out there. Anyone use one ?
What other options are there?

Don't know that you'll be able to get down to 12 ounces. There's only a few options that I can find.

All I did to my Mk II was back out the Accutrigger spring and replace the spring for the center lever(the AccuRelease per the manual). Robbed the spring from a Bic lighter and clipped off a section slightly shorter than the factory spring. It's probably a little under two pounds.

I haven't fired my Savage since last Fall. In the meantime, I acquired a CZ 457 and put a Timney trigger on it. Been shooting the CZ since January,
I got my 17HMR out last weekend and the trigger may as well been on a bazooka......

If you search here on SS and RFC you can find lots of threads about 'fixing' the heavy triggers of Savages. I have a B22 with a pull about 3/4 # and a couple 64s with pulls ca 1.5# or so. Best thing is to replace the T-spring with a clik-pen spring, but some have found the Hdwe stores have functional replacements, too. Another thing to do is to 'polish' anything that rubs anything with about 1000g wet-dry paper, then lube very lightly with a PTFE grease, just a very thin film.

That AccuTrigger spring from Gun Shack is only for centerfire models and won't work on the rimfires.

I ended up with the Sav-Rat Rifle Basix trigger.
I'll report on it after a bit of use.

Yes, the description does say that. But, there are several reviews from people that used them in their MK II accutriggers. So, your mileage may vary.

It's just a guess that the description says that because Savage made both accutrigger and non-accutrigger MK IIs concurrently for years.

The GS spring worked in my A22 & B22-FV, 2# & 1# with Accu-triggers. I think it's 'lawyer-talk advice' - YMMV.

I got to shoot a little 17HMR yesterday.
I have to say that I really like this new trigger.
Went from a stock Accutrigger, requiring a mallet to fire, to a crisp, creep-less 14 oz. trigger.
Makes the gun much more of a pleasure to shoot.
I bought the Rifle-Basix trigger from E. Arthur Brown Co.
